Hiko, the Tongan Art of Juggling

Many years ago when I performed a juggling show round the world, I heard rumours of a South Pacific island where all the women were jugglers of exceptional skill. Initially, I considered the story to be a kind of urban legend amongst the juggling diaspora, but the exoticism and allure of the idea of Pacific islands inhabited by juggling women remained with me.

Mighty Mouse

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Here’s an animation that my girlfriend’s nine-year-old daughter, Izzy, filmed one rainy Friday afternoon. She made Mighty Mouse from scratch, then directed his adventure through our living room in search of whatever a mighty mouse might be after.

A map of Bristol Wireless network coverage
Bristol Wireless network coverage (Jan 2007)

Bristol Wireless have completed their 5.8 GHz backbone infrastructure - it’s fully tested, legal and now - most importantly - live. It gives them a network coverage of approximately 15 sq. km, which they think makes it the largest community wireless network in the UK. Unless, of course, anyone knows otherwise, in which case you’re asked to get in touch with them and let them know.
